This is a dwarf Gunnera for those who can not fit a full sized Gunnera in their garden. A mat forming perennial with small kidney shaped leaves and tiny flower spikes, it has all the charm of the Gunnera manicata in minature.

(Chilean rhubarb)

The giant of the bog garden it has huge umbrella like leaves up to 1 metre wide, carried on spiny stems 1-2 metres high with panicles of tiny red brown flowers up to 1m in height. A dramatic plant and great for filling large unused wet areas or alongside lakes and large ponds.

Herbaceous perennial mainly grown for its striking foliage of heart shaped leaves edged with cream and flushed with red. Flowers in spring are yellow with four white bracts at the base.
